Summary

The Freight Coordinators primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests. This role also includes operational tasks such as receiving and unpacking daily shipments, shipping merchandise, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Generation and Guest Service
  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received.
  • Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests via FedEx.
  • Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
  • Ensure all transfers are processed through the register and that items match shipments.
  • Properly fold and package items for shipping to guests or other stores.
  • Remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in.
  • Place Sensormatic tags on each garment.
  • Hang and fold merchandise for the sales floor and steam when necessary.
  • Assist on floor projects when necessary.
Operations
  • Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software.
  • Receive freight boxes and store transfers via register.
  • Report store mail discrepancies and file non?errors for 30 days.
  • Maintain all shipment?related paperwork.
  • Watch for and address security risks and thefts.
  • Generate FedEx labels and sort packages by required transit time.
  • Process weekly recall and Return to Vendor (RTV) shipments.
  • Keep supplies stocked and organized.
  • Organize fixtures and shelving.
  • Engage in activities that support a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Maintain daily work files and order.
  • Communicate policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources.
  • Provide merchandise handling feedback to Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Floor Leaders.
  • Understand and apply Buckles Code of Ethics and policies.
  • Execute mission statement by delivering high?level customer service and positive team spirit.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training required.

Additional Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, climb, balance, and lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
