RN Long Term Care

Part?time RN Evening (7:00?p.m. 7:30?a.m., every other weekend)

Our sub?acute floor is a 59?bed Medicare unit caring for residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF, dehydration, cellulitis, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac conditions. Nurses work closely with doctors, social workers, dietitians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. The unit offers a well?rounded opportunity for learning, professional growth and personal satisfaction.

The Chronic Care floor is a 60?bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and long?term care unit, ideal for learning basic med?surg, IV therapy, and wound?treatment nursing skills. Nurses collaborate with a host of healthcare professionals to implement the best treatment plan for residents.

The Dementia Care floor is a 60?bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses, creating a fullness of life through the joy of relationships and the spirit of living. The unit works closely with a multidisciplinary team to discuss each residents plan of care.

Beaumont Commons Farmington Hills. The 3?floor facility houses 9 units (3 units per floor) and provides care for long?term residents and post?acute rehab patients. Beds: 59 on the first floor (sub?acute rehab), 59 on the second floor (long?term care and sub?acute rehab), and a secured dementia unit on the third floor. Nurse?to?patient ratios vary by shift and population. We serve dementia, long?term, and sub?acute rehab residents with a variety of specialties including general rehab, neuro rehab, cardiac, respiratory, and cancer. Programs are available for resident participation in multiple activities. Our goal is to create a Fullness of Life through the joy of relationships, the art of caring, and the spirit of living.

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical?thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds ANA standards of professional performanceethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence?based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental healthstriving to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Associate degree, ADN or equivalent
• Michigan LPN license upon hire
• BLS AHA or ARC upon hire
