Apartment Maintenance Technician

Model Tobacco, a premier residential property in Richmond, VA, is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate is experienced in residential maintenance, customer-focused, and thrives working both independently and as part of a team.
At WPM Real Estate Management, our Service Technicians play a vital role in ensuring our communities remain safe, functional, and welcoming. In this position, you'll be responsible for:
- Responding to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Performing preventative maintenance as directed
- Preparing units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
- Completing general maintenance tasks and repairs
- Handling basic appliance repairs
- Keeping property grounds clean, orderly, and safe
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
What We're Looking For:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven skills in general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 35 years of experience in residential or commercial maintenance
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability for on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
