St. Patricks Residence is a faith?based, nonprofit, short?term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. We have served the community since 1964 as a place of life, a place of caring, and a true home for our residents.

Position Overview

Maintenance Technician Full Time

  • $24 $27 per hour based on circumstances including skills, qualifications, degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
  • Monday Friday, plus on?call every third weekend.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment.
  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed.
  • Do mechanical repairs on items such as hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment.
  • Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows.
  • Maintain equipment as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of building and preventive maintenance experience.
  • Current State of Illinois Drivers License with proof of clear driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Knowledge and interest in working with elders and persons with disabilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
