Responsibilities

As a Dental Hygienist at Smiles at Beauregard Square, you will:

  • Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Take and review digital X-rays using Dexis (training provided if needed)
  • Document patient care using Dentrix (training available)
  • Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain a clean and organized operatory and follow infection control protocols
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture

Qualifications
  • Licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Virginia (or in process for new grads)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
  • Experience with Dexis, Dentrix, and Microsoft Office is a plus, but not required
  • Passion for patient care and education

Qualifications:
  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
