Skilled - Maintenance Technician

QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Technician position at a company in Cherry Valley, IL. This is a direct hire position on 2nd shift.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
- Serves as electrician in repairing electrical malfunctions and installing new equipment; may work as a plumber/pipe fitter in assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems, and in opening clogged drains.
- Acts as a carpenter in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of building fixtures and furnaces.
- Maintain tools and furnaces in good condition and use all tools carefully and as instructed; performs preventative maintenance on equipment and prepares accurate records.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
- Electrical 110v-480v troubleshooting, motor repair/replacing, pumps, pneumatics, welding with MIG and stick. Building maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance.
- PLC experience a plus but not required.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- 3-5 years Industrial Maintenance solid experience. To include but not limited to, electrical 110v-480v troubleshooting, motor repair/replacing, pumps, pneumatics, welding with mig and stick. Building maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance. PLC, ISO 9001:2015, and NADCAP experience a plus but not required.
- Experience in the heat-treating industry a plus.
- Proficiency in industrial mechanics and industrial electricity.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and provide solutions.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Experience working with logic controllers.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
