Senior Tax Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $225,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for operating partnerships, real estate partnerships, and S-Corps.
- Oversee work performed by outside tax service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage workflow and teams effectively to meet deadlines and participate in structured meetings.
- Conduct tax research and implement strategies to minimize tax burden and comply with new regulations.
- Respond to federal, state, and local tax inquiries and audit requests promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate proficiency in current tax laws and ability to perform special tax projects.
- Utilize tax software tools such as Thomson Reuters OneSource and Microsoft Excel effectively.
- Apply strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities under strict deadlines.
- Adopt new technology tools and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain effective control processes over all aspects of the tax function.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Tax or Accounting with at least 12 years of tax compliance and consulting experience.
- Possess a minimum of seven years of managerial experience in tax and a CPA or EA license.
- Bring experience managing a team of tax professionals and mentoring staff.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Display strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.
