We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to play a pivotal role in our dynamic Colorado Manufacturing team. In this position, you will support a stand-alone manufacturing facility dedicated to the development of hypersonic weapon systems, making a direct contribution to our nation's defense.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take charge of streamlining production processes, ensuring both efficiency and product quality from start to finish. This position will specifically support our Hypersonic Thermal Protection System (TPS) and requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams in Huntsville, AL and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform raw materials into finished products through innovative and effective techniques.
  • Utilize MES software (Solumina) to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
  • Generate and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMS) and create accurate routings within Solumina.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and identify risk factors in production processes.
  • Coordinate workflow and production activities, ensuring resources are optimally utilized to meet production goals.
  • Resolve production-related issues promptly, including configuration and material challenges.
  • Oversee compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Knowledge of machining and experience with manufacturing, assembly, and integration processes.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and familiarity with ERP/PLM/MES software.
  • Understanding of GD&T and experience with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SolidWorks and experience with contactless structured blue light scanning.
  • US Citizenship and ability to maintain a Final Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing and procedure development.
  • Familiarity with composite machining and relevant equipment.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing management programs like AS6500.
  • Capability in data analytics and project scheduling.
