The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, financial analysis and reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance and is a self-starter with strong analytical skills.

A successful candidate must be able to:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including consolidations.
  • Manage Fixed Assets.
  • Assist with the annual external audit.
  • Work with AR, AP, and other departments as needed to resolve issues.
  • Develops and implements internal controls, and policies and procedures.
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Assists in processing invoices for payment, cash receipts, credit card reconciliations.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Begin to mentor staff accountants through leadership and training objectives.
  • Work with external tax accountants.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proven at least 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • ERP system knowledge is required, preferably NetSuite.
  • US GAAP knowledge is required.
  • Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables.
  • Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges.
  • Team Player able to assist members of the team with questions.
