Spanish/English speaking volunteer needed for friend visits/companionship

Patient is a female hospice patient in Walnut Cove who only speaks Spanish. Her son is her primary caregiver and he speaks both english and spanish. Son is the only person that patient is able to talk with due to only speaking spanish. She is requesting a volunteer to come to her home and talk with her weekly or more often if possible. Visit would last from 1-2 hours each visit on average. Son works from home and could use time to do some work or hobbies while you are visiting. Visits are in Walnut Cove so must be willing to drive there and provide proof of NC driver's license and current vehicle insurance and submit to TB test and background check. 12.5 hours of training can be done online or in office to accomdate your needs. Aproximately 1 hour needed in office or at a mutual agreed upon location such as starbucks for the onboarding.
