As a member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in transforming our exciting ideas into products used by tens of thousands of users weekly. You will contribute to everything from product development to enhancing technical operations, focusing on improving system reliability and reducing technical debt.

In the Taxes & Bookkeeping Team, we automate tax and bookkeeping tasks, allowing self-employed individuals to focus on what they do best. We’re searching for a passionate Senior Full-Stack Engineer eager to design, build, and maintain scalable code.

Some of our recent highlights include:

  • Successfully launching an Accountant portal for collaboration between users and their accountants.
  • Implementing a seamless embedded tax filing experience within the Found application.
  • Enabling users to connect and import transactions from multiple banks and cards.
  • Scaling our tax calculation processes to handle increased transaction volumes effectively.
  • Introducing a tap-to-pay feature for direct card payments via mobile devices.

In this role, your typical day will include:

  • Collaborating with engineers to develop and deliver user-friendly features.
  • Working closely with designers and product managers to conceptualize innovative solutions.
  • Defining approaches for building, testing, deploying, and scaling new features.
  • Writing secure, maintainable code.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience with both backend and frontend frameworks.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth as an engineer and team member.
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, MySQL, and Redis.

Additionally, you might have:

  • Experience with related technologies.
  • A background in startups or a strong track record of technical initiative in past projects.
  • An interest in financial services, accounting, or self-employment.
  • Experience in tax-related products or services.
  • A background in leadership roles, such as manager, tech lead, architect, or founding engineer (not required; we welcome candidates at all levels).

Compensation at Found is competitive and includes a salary range of $181,000 - $235,000, determined based on skills, experience, and education. Our benefits package is generous and includes:
