Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Lines Department Leader to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team of professionals while managing your own book of business. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in commercial lines, a passion for leadership, and the ability to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment. This position is integral to the company's culture, which values stability, low turnover, and a supportive workplace.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience).
- Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.
- Oversee and lead a team of professionals within the Commercial Lines department.
- Manage your own generalist book of business, including quoting new and renewal business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Ensure the team operates effectively and meets organizational goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to uphold the company's culture and values.
- Proven experience in commercial lines insurance, with a strong technical background.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Personable and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a generalist book of business and work effectively with carriers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
