Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Risk Consultant to join our cybersecurity and risk management team. In this role, you will assess, design, and implement cybersecurity risk management strategies for clients or internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments for clients or internal systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and potential impact on business operations.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and advise on security controls.
- Evaluate and improve clients' cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and incident response plans.
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity programs aligned with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA etc).
- Perform third-party risk assessments and supply chain security reviews.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to integrate cybersecurity into enterprise risk management.
- Prepare and deliver clear, actionable reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CEH, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are highly desirable.
- 3-15years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, COBIT, etc.).
- Experience with GRC tools and risk assessment methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in penetration testing, threat modeling, or SOC environments.
- Familiarity with cloud security and SaaS and related platforms.
