The Clinical Director Associate will play a pivotal role in supervising and training primary care providers (PCPs) in our center, ensuring top-tier clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction. You will also engage in direct patient care and other clinical duties while leading a strong synergy between clinical and operational functions.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, particularly in older adult populations.
- Take full accountability for patient care outcomes and involve specialists as necessary while remaining engaged in patient management.
- Collaborate with hospitalists for in-hospital patients.
- Responsibly assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients' complex chronic health needs while promoting education and health.
- Lead a multidisciplinary care team to deliver excellent patient services.
- For patients unable to visit the center, collaborate with transitional care teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Conduct weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, supporting your Center's clinical leadership.
- Actively manage your center, covering for absent providers and participating in patient recruitment and provider interviews.
- Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Engage in leadership rounding with PCPs.
- Work with the Operations Director and Market General Manager to enhance center performance and membership growth.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various applications used in the company.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally/nationally for training and recruitment.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Possess independent judgment for clinical and operational decisions.
Education and Experience Criteria:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty required.
- Current, active MD licensure in the State of employment is essential.
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric, adult, or family practice setting preferred, ideally as a ChenMed PCP Partner.
- Completion of ChenMed training programs is expected.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred; Board Eligibility is required.
- Maintain board certification requirements post-certification.
- Possess a current DEA number for controlled substances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an authorized provider required within the first 90 days of employment.
Pay Range: $238,832 - $341,189 Salary
