As a Surgical Technologist I specializing in General Surgery, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality care in our surgical department. Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Schedule: Full-time, evening shifts with some on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist with surgical instruments, supplies, and positioning of patients.
  • Maintain knowledge of various surgical procedures and equipment.
  • Ensure the operating room is clean, safe, and efficient for optimal patient care.
  • Actively participate in team dynamics and anticipate the needs of surgical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • No prior experience is necessary; new graduates are welcome

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry various weights and remain active throughout your shift.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to medical hazards.
