In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing our technology roadmap, aimed at creating highly scalable and optimized Frontend services for our customers and field technicians. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of top-quality products that fulfill both customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a dynamic team of software engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Take ownership of multiple scrums with accountability for team performance and results.
  • Act as the primary advocate for Frontend services across the organization.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt for effective resolution.
  • Utilize prototypes and proof of concepts to explore architecture and software designs thoroughly.
  • Set the strategic direction for Frontend services, implementing best practices and pioneering solutions.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality, maintainable, and secure code across repositories.
  • Design and deliver scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions that align with both technical and business goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of APIs for mobile and web applications.
  • Facilitate clear communication and teamwork between engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Establish clear goals, provide constructive feedback, and cultivate a growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience working with live production systems, including debugging and implementing protective measures.
  • Background working in an Agile development environment.
  • Proven experience managing software development projects, encompassing scoping, planning, and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on innovating solutions for complex challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at adapting messaging for different audiences.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and inspire engineering teams, promote collaboration, and achieve results.
  • Experience with Google Cloud and its features.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, specifically Go and Java.
