Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will assess, triage, and manage patient needs across settings, collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal care and develop treatment plans.
  • Patient Education & Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care plans and available resources, providing ethical and compassionate psychosocial support.
  • Information Management: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Quality Management: Uphold high standards of professionalism, demonstrating commitment to patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional growth, serving as a resource for new staff and participating in clinical education initiatives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of surgical experience as a PA preferred; experience in Trauma and General Surgery is highly desired. Robotic and laparoscopic skills are a plus.

LICENSURE:
Possession of an active PA certification, Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, or equivalent nursing licensure, along with ACLS/BLS certification. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty.
