Emergency Department Technician

The primary function of the Emergency Department Technician "ED Tech" is to assist in the care of all Emergency Department patients and patient care duties under the direction of the registered nurse. The ED technician has key duties and responsibilities as listed below.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a patient care environment such as a CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, Nursing Student, Pre-Physician Assistant student or two years working clinically in the hospital setting
• Qualities of accountability, multitasking, organization and good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hospital experience
• Certification as an EMT, nursing assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) The ideal candidate would possess a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, multitasking, excellence in customer service, ability to work well on a team and strong communication
