JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Voice Engineer to join our growing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in voice technologies and the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex voice systems to ensure high-quality, reliable communication across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Design, configure, and implement voice systems, including VoIP, PBX, and SIP technologies.
  • Configure and maintain voice gateways, routers, switches, and related network devices.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for voice systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate voice systems with other technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging voice and network technologies, recommending improvements where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of5+ years of experience invoice engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP, PBX, SIP, and related communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco voice technologies (CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX).
  • Proficiency with voice gateways, routers, switches, and other core network components.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • CCNP Collaboration or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
  • Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core or Collaboration Applications.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Associate (MS-720) or equivalent certification.
  • SIP School Certified Professional (SSCP) or other VoIP-related credentials.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
