Job Title: Surgical Tech

Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required

License: Must have Washington State license at time of submission

Certifications: BLS required

Must-Have:
- Experience scrubbing in surgeries with focus on ENT procedures, including FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, and soft tissue procedures.
- Davinci XI experience required in GYN, URO, and General surgery.

Description:
Unit has capability to handle 22 surgical suites, with potential increase to 26 across 3 different floors.
Average number of cases per day is between 50 and 65.
Common cases include GYN, Uro, Vascular, Plastic, Ortho (total hips/knees), Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (Breast, HPB, Bariatric), Sports Med (Hand/Podiatry), and Kidney transplants, as well as ENT procedures.
Unit handles large and complex cases, including robotics surgeries using Davinci Xi.
The position requires weekly call responsibilities, including 1 call total during a 4-week schedule.
Weekday call begins at the end of the shift and continues until 7 AM the following morning, while weekend call is 24 hours from 7 AM to 7 AM.
The unit provides scrubs in teal color for its staff.
The team is supportive and eager to teach, with many travelers extending assignments due to positive experiences.
There are no self-scheduling options; start times will be kept consistent for the same week.
Physicians and team members are known for being helpful and willing to mentor.
All travelers need to bring their own earphones for the training period.
Unit orientation includes interaction with HR and leadership, and shadowing with a surgical tech for 2 days.
The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment, with specific scheduling managed by team leaders.
A charting system is in place for documentation purposes.
Weekend and holiday call requirements are managed by rotation among staff.
