About the Role:

As a Host at Gruene River Grill, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and efficiently seat them while ensuring a smooth flow of service. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive atmosphere, addressing guest inquiries, and providing information about the menu and specials. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the waitstaff and management to ensure that all guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive until they leave. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences that encourage guests to return and recommend our restaurant to others.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a host or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
  • Familiarity with reservation management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover.
  • Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service.

Your customer service experience will help you handle inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise, contributing to guest satisfaction. Additionally, your knowledge of food and beverage service will allow you to confidently inform guests about menu items and specials. Overall, these skills will enable you to create a positive first impression and foster a welcoming atmosphere at Gruene River Grill.
