Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fulfill customers' prescription needs, ensuring precision with every filled prescription.
  • Administer vaccines and engage in patient counseling and pharmaceutical care.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy laws, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a professional image in conduct, appearance, and pharmacy organization; enforce company dress codes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the trade area, customer dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Foster a positive pharmacy image through exceptional service and teamwork with customers, staff, and vendors.
  • Oversee stock replenishment, inventory management, security, and the operation of pharmacy equipment.
  • Maintain proper records and security for all controlled substances and ensure legal compliance at all levels.
  • Utilize accuracy tools effectively, including scanners and post-dispensing audits, to maintain high standards.
  • Keep the pharmacy environment clean and organized to provide a professional experience for customers.
  • Handle product returns promptly and according to company policies.
  • Ensure all pharmacy equipment is well-maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Organize all policy manuals, state laws, and reference materials, ensuring staff are knowledgeable in their applications.
  • Clearly display all necessary signage regarding pharmacy services, hours, and staff information.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance personal pharmacy knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in good standing.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Strong basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Desired:

  • 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing).
