Medical Director (PM&R Physician) - Lafayette, IN (W2 and 1099 available)
Job type: Full-Time; Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physician leadership and ensure appropriate physician coverage for patients.
- Lead and oversee Rehabilitation Medicine Services, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Monitor practitioner performance, provide feedback, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Advise on infection control, patient safety, and employee health policies.
- Foster education, communication, and collaboration among staff, patients, families, and community partners.
- Support hospital administration with reports, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- MD or DO, licensed in the applicable state.
- Active hospital medical staff membership.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation management.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
- Controlled substances registration and malpractice insurance.
- Must meet hospital bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- No criminal history (excluding minor infractions).
