Position description

Specialist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of California, Irvine. These are typically grant-funded positions under the sponsorship of various faculty members (https://www.icts.uci.edu/). The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with biomedical or translational research experience strongly preferred. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Appointments are based on performance and availability of funding.

Junior Specialist rank - Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience

Assistant rank - MS or 5 yrs experience

Associate rank - MS or 5-10 yrs experience

Specialist rank - Terminal degree (PhD/MD) or 10+ yrs experience

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Junior Specialists - Should possess a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.

Assistant Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree), or 5 yrs. of experience.

Associate Specialists - Should possess a Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience.

Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience
