Responsibilities

  • As a valued team member, you will:
    • Conduct assessments, triage, and manage the therapeutic needs of patients and families as a key member of an interdisciplinary team.
    • Work collaboratively with attending physicians according to state law and hospital policies, delivering team-based care autonomously when appropriate.
    • Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, review and order diagnostic tests, and develop and manage patient treatment plans.
    • Educate patients and families on care plans, resources, and potential outcomes, working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
    • Provide psychosocial support to patients and their families in a compassionate, ethical, and professional manner.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience in critical care; motivated new graduates with appropriate preparation are also welcome.
  • Active, unrestricted Connecticut medical license or currently in the process of obtaining one.
  • Current ACLS/BLS Certification (as required).
  • DEA License required.
