The Dishwasher ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, tableware, cooking equipment, and food preparation areas. This role supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and glassware.
- Operate dishwashing equipment according to safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, trash, and recycling.
- Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by the manager.
- Follow proper chemical handling and sanitation procedures.
- Restock clean dishes and utensils for service staff and kitchen team.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to prioritize urgent needs during peak times.
- Uphold health and safety standards, complying with local and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina: able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
