Your Career

As a Lead Network Security Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a crucial role in defining and securing our global network infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced engineer skilled at architecting, building, and optimizing secure and scalable network solutions.

You will serve as a respected authority within the network security domain, providing technical leadership and driving the advancement of our enterprise-grade security measures. Your Impact

• Architect, implement, and maintain advanced network security architectures across our global infrastructure, influencing strategic direction.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide security policies, serving as a subject matter expert.
• Integrate security into all network design layers in collaboration with security, infrastructure, and IT teams.
• Identify vulnerabilities and lead remediation efforts across on-prem and cloud environments, establishing best practices.
• Utilize Palo Alto Networks products and other platforms to enhance network visibility and threat intelligence.
• Implement security automation using scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Lead incident response efforts for network security events, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to architectural standards while promoting a strong security culture.

Your Experience

• 12+ years in enterprise networking and network security engineering with a strong record of leadership in large environments.
• Expertise in firewall technologies, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, and microsegmentation strategies.
• Proven background with Palo Alto Networks products is highly preferred.
• Experience in security automation and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols; experience with Arista, Juniper, or equivalent network hardware.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and advanced cloud security models (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience using AI/ML tools for operational tasks and developing auto-healing capabilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving complex security issues.
• Exceptional communication and technical leadership skills to drive collaboration and influence decisions.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation for this role depends on qualifications, experience, and location, with a starting salary range between $154,000 - $249,500. This may include stock options and bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
