Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Assistant
Location: Houston, TX
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a hardworking individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently unload and load trucks, ensuring careful handling of goods.
- Operate stockpicker forklifts and other equipment for moving items within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including disposing of trash and boxes.
- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of trucks.
- Manage light assembly tasks
- Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Handle shipping tasks using various carriers such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and freight lines, requiring proficiency with computer and keyboard.
- Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
- Comfortable working in environments without air conditioning or heating.
- A clean driving record and the ability to participate in our drug and alcohol testing program.
- Strong physical condition to handle the demands of the job.
- Previous experience with light assembly work.
- Competency in using computers for shipping and inventory management.
- Non-smoker (including social smoking).
- Ability to manage a high volume of deliveries efficiently
