What You’ll Do

In this position you will play a mission-critical role in the daily operations of our rental business. You will be responsible for loading and unloading pumps, hoses, and other pump-related accessories on and off of Cogent delivery trucks and third-party freight carriers while maintaining a clean and orderly yard environment to enable safe and efficient movement of motorized loading equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pull hoses, pipes, and fittings to fulfill rental and sales contracts.
  • Work in cooperation with material handlers to safely load equipment on and off trucks and trailers.
  • Assist in securing load utilizing straps and chains or other securement methods.
  • Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash; accessories and equipment are organized and easy to access.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures and maintain a ‘Safety First’ approach when completing daily work tasks.
  • Will be responsible for completing all paperwork associated with this position.
  • There is a high level of responsibility in this position.
  • The pace of work for this position is moderate to high, you must be able to multi-task, while also taking initiative with current and upcoming tasks and projects.
  • There is travel with overnight stays that may be required for this position.
Work Environment
  • Yard: Continual exposure to all outdoor weather conditions; exposure to noise and fumes generated from motorized equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent heavy lifting up to 90 pounds
  • Full range of physical motions associated with general labor work continually throughout 8 hours
Work Schedule
  • The typical work schedule for this position consists of 8 hours a day and 5 days a week.
  • Overtime and weekend work are probable.
Skills & Qualifications

Preferred
  • The desired candidate will also be highly motivated, willing to challenge and improve the Company’s existing processes, and must be adaptable to perform other duties as needed.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in order to respond to customer emergencies.
  • Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Basic computer skills, email, word, excel
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Driver’s License required.
  • High school or general equivalency degree
  • Forklift certification is preferred, but not necessary
