Job Description

HR Generalist

A leading home builder with a long-standing reputation for quality craftsmanship and employee-focused culture is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their growing team.

This individual will play a key role in supporting both field and office operations - ensuring compliance, driving employee engagement, and supporting the company’s mission to build exceptional homes and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and field managers to identify and fulfill staffing needs for construction and office roles.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviews, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs; maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Support performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Coordinate safety and compliance training in partnership with field management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR initiatives that foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally within construction or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
