Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Company/Industry: Multi-service energy provider

Location: Proximity to Westbury, NY

Salary: Commensurate with experience + benefits

Status: Direct Hire, FT, On-site Mon-Fri

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily AP operations including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor management
  • Accurately code capital, balance sheet, and operational costs
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close and prepare AP metrics reports
  • Analyze operating expenses and capital project costs
  • Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve AP workflows
  • Train and support AP team members
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfortable with large datasets
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting software
  • Strong grasp of debits/credits and AP-related tax regulations
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with internal teams and vendors

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $80,000.00
