The Role
We are looking for a part-time Medical Assistant who is passionate about making a difference. As part of our mobile care team, you'll provide hands-on support to dermatology providers, assist during procedures, and help deliver an outstanding patient experience.
This is more than a typical MA role, it's an opportunity to work in an innovative practice, travel with our mobile clinics, and be part of a mission-driven team fighting skin cancer and improving lives.
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients, take medical histories, and prepare them for exams
- Scribe for providers and update electronic medical records (EMA/Modernizing Medicine)
- Assist during Mohs procedures, excisions, and minor surgeries
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for the lab
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care
- Support providers during additional testing and procedures
- Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
- Occasionally take on duties outside of standard MA tasks to support team operations
- Certified/experienced Medical Assistant (Surgical or Dermatology background preferred)
- Knowledge of Mohs procedures a plus
- Experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine strongly preferred (training available for the right candidate)
