Specialty Pharmacist

Join our dynamic team where you will provide exceptional pharmacy consulting services to patients. Your role will involve ensuring the effective use of medications while being proactive about drug interactions. Additionally, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, manage workflow, improve clinical management, and uphold the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a remarkable customer experience by embracing best practices in service and demonstrating empathy and care in all interactions.
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns promptly to foster positive experiences.
  • Effectively manage the pharmacy operations and supervise daily activities.
  • Enhance sales and profitability through accurate prescription fulfillment and superior service.
  • Immediately report prescription errors and follow all company policies regarding quality improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Implement protective measures to minimize financial losses and ensure asset security.
  • Maintain a safe and appealing pharmacy environment for both customers and employees in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee cash management processes, ensuring accurate handling and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of pharmacy systems and equipment.
  • Efficiently manage inventory and adhere to purchasing procedures.
  • Guide pharmacy team members in their roles, ensuring adherence to policies and necessary training.
  • Stay current on licensing and certifications, as well as pharmacy best practices.
  • Build strong relations with healthcare professionals to enhance collaborative care.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license in the relevant states.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in pharmacy operations.
  • Proficient in prescription filling and verification, including knowledge of controlled substance regulations.
  • Completion of specialized training in relevant disease states or sufficient practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a score of 3.7 or above from prior performance reviews (for internal candidates).
  • At least 6 months of experience with Walgreens.
