Job Description
The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers developing mission-critical embedded software and firmware for space flight systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring engineering tasks are well-defined, prioritized, and executed on schedule to meet program milestones.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in the development of embedded software and firmware for space flight systems.
- Define, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks to meet program milestones.
- Collaborate directly with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure the success of product development.
- Manage complex, schedule-driven projects, ideally in a regulated industry.
- Experience in task management and full life cycle development.
- Proven leadership skills in a technical environment.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, FPGA, and low-level hardware interfaces.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded development toolchains.
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field..
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
