The Role of an HCA Nurse

Your contribution is vital to our success. Every role significantly impacts our patients' lives, and you have the chance to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team.

Cardiac Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, recognizing arrhythmias, and acting swiftly in emergencies. With high-level critical thinking skills and extensive clinical knowledge, our nurses remain calm under pressure while caring for patients recovering from procedures such as open heart surgeries, heart catheterizations, ablations, and other cardiovascular surgeries. We also serve as a comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility.

Who We Are

• Two separate 29-bed units, specializing in the care of cardiac patients

Types of Patients We Care For

• Acute and chronic heart failure
• Electrophysiology (pacemaker, ablation)
• Structural heart procedures (mitral clip, TAVR, TMVR, watchman, valve angioplasty)
• Postoperative day one open heart surgery patients
• Post cardiac catheterization

Nurses from our departments often transition to roles such as ICU, cardiac cath lab, EP lab, or leadership positions. Your leader will work with you closely to help achieve your aspirations.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
• BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained
• ACLS certification required within 6 months
• Preferred previous clinical experience
• Basic computer skills
