Location: Indianapolis, IN, USA
Position: Data Architect - Business Units Information and Digital Solutions (IDS)

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Implementation
  • Design and implement scalable data architectures to meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into unified structures.
Data Management & Optimization
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, privacy, and security standards.
  • Optimize databases and data pipelines for scalability and reliability.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and transformation activities.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and analytics teams for deployment and operations.
  • Provide architectural guidance to engineers, analysts, and developers.
Technology & Innovation
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies.
  • Implement modern architectures (data lakes, warehouses, event-driven systems).
  • Stay up to date with cloud platforms and distributed data solutions.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain architectural documentation, data flows, and process guidelines.
  • Provide reporting and insights on data system performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1X+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Expertise with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools (ER/Studio, Lucidchart, etc.).
  • Hands-on with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and integration experience.
  • Basic Salesforce knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
Preferred Skills
  • BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Cloud/data certifications (AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to AI, ML frameworks, Salesforce.
  • Experience with real-time data and advanced analytics.
