Position Details:

  • Hospital: Greenwich Hospital
  • Location: 5 Perryridge Road, Greenwich, CT
  • Scheduled Hours: 13 shifts per 4 week period (3/3/4 schedule, 12-hour shifts)
  • Position Type: Full-Time

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive health assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborating with supervising physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on health promotion and disease management.
  • Prescribing medications, ordering therapies, and managing medical devices according to state regulations.
  • Providing patient education and counseling regarding health maintenance and lifestyle modifications.
  • Evaluating and managing common acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
  • Performing minor office procedures as trained and within scope of practice.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Documenting all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to organizational policies.
  • Serving as a resource for medical staff and engaging in educational activities.
  • Providing age-appropriate care to patients from infants to geriatrics.
  • Managing referrals to specialists and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of best practices in family medicine and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care/internal medicine setting preferred.
  • Active PA or NP - Acute Care certification required.
  • Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in the process of obtaining.
  • Certification in ACLS/BLS/PALS (as required).
  • DEA License required.
