Type: Contract
Shift: Day, 40 hrs/week (Mon-Fri, no weekends/holidays/on-call)
Travel Rate: $2,444/week
Local Rate: $2,062.50/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist (CWR) - Breast Center for an exciting Travel or Local job in North Bergen, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and complex breast ultrasound exams, including Doppler for vascularity assessment, using appropriate transducers and protocols for dense breasts, implants, and masses.
  • Prepare patients, explain procedures, position for optimal views, and evaluate image quality while optimizing settings like gain, depth, focus, and TGC to minimize artifacts.
  • Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and interventions, maintaining sterile technique and providing patient care.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform calibrations, clean/sterilize instruments, manage PACS for image archiving/retrieval, and participate in quality control programs.
  • Handle clerical duties using EPIC, TeleTracking, and scheduling systems; greet patients per A.I.D.E.T. standards; maintain records and adhere to safety/infection policies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School with 2 years Allied Health/College training.
  • RDMS certification and CPR proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of breast anatomy/pathology, cross-sectional anatomy, ultrasound equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
  • Experience with portable exams, deep abdominal studies, color-flow ultrasound, and patient-specific care modifications (age, culture, impairments).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year clinical ultrasound experience, especially in breast imaging.
