Summary:
The Patient Care Assistant is knowledgeable about the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Nursing Service. Under the supervision of a professional nurse, this role provides essential nursing care to assigned patients.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to current OSHA standards.
- Accurately record patient care information on the Patient Care Flow Sheet.
- Practice courteous telephone communication while sharing appropriate information with patients, visitors, and staff from other departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- One year of prior experience as a nursing assistant
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program with completion of two clinical rotation cycles
- Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant training program
