About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Torrance, California, 90503

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or C-EFM, BCLS, NRP Must-Have: - Flexibility to work weekends - Precepting skills preferred Description: Looking for a strong caregiver who can support the evening shift. Must be willing to float between similar units. Candidates must be able to accommodate scheduling preferences per manager discretion. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements depend on the length of the contract. No on-call requirement. Travelers may be required to float to adjacent facilities. Candidates must adhere to established patient care and staffing ratios. Ideal candidates should possess preceptor skills and newborn care experience. Experience with non-stress testing and setting up delivery tables is preferred. Applicant qualifications include the ability to circulate and recover cesarean sections. Experience with high and low-risk labor patients is necessary. Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in telemetry interpretation. Interdisciplinary support teams are available in the unit. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults. Daily census ranges from 210 to 240 births per month. References from supervisory personnel covering the past year will be required. Candidates must be willing to float to various facilities within the region. Refusal to float may result in assignment termination. Modules and training time will be required prior to the start of the assignment. All compliance and background information must be disclosed during the application process.
