The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliation's and adhering to monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines. A.A. Degree in Accounting is preferred, or equivalent work-related experience. Proficiency in Excel is required. This is an onsite position located in Owings Mills, MD with a base salary of $55k.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the month-end process for a portfolio of clients.
- Prepare and maintain all account reconciliations and records of fixed assets.
- Generate monthly financial reports.
- Assist with maintaining the general ledger.
- Review receivable information.
- Strong computer skills including general ledger software. (Entrata is a plus)
- Strong mathematical, financial and analytical abilities.
- Effectively interact and communicate with employees at a variety of professional levels
- Identify problems and recommend appropriate actions for expeditious results
