As an Associate Market Medical Leader, you'll play a crucial role in our rapidly expanding organization. You'll supervise, mentor, and train Clinical Directors, ensuring they meet our performance objectives while fostering a dynamic and supportive culture. Your responsibilities will also include providing direct patient care as a primary care physician (PCP) alongside your leadership duties. The balance between clinical practice and operational responsibilities will be adjusted based on market needs and team capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee clinical outcomes and manage Medical Directors across multiple centers, ensuring a strong presence in each location.
  • Drive effective clinical operations to meet market earnings goals.
  • Mentor and coach Medical Directors to achieve superior clinical outcomes.
  • Facilitate development opportunities for your team, including practice facilitation and performance management.
  • Enhance a physician-centric culture that aligns with ChenMed’s core values.
  • Assist with training new practitioners and partake in recruitment efforts for PCP and specialist roles.
  • Cultivate relationships with payers, specialists, and local communities to enhance our service delivery.
  • Address workplace concerns promptly to maintain a positive market culture.
  • Review and authorize center-level referrals, contributing to utilization management as needed.
  • Support market quality initiatives and performance improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Deliver outstanding clinical care as a PCP, engaging with a patient panel effectively.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO with specialization in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar required.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience, with 3 years preferred.
  • Preferred experience as a Medical Director or equivalent, working with Medicare or Medicaid populations.
  • Current, active medical license in your state.
  • Exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 30% of the time.
