Nursing Operations Manager

Oneida Center is seeking a dedicated Nursing Operations Manager to join our team. This role is critical in supporting the Director of Nursing with management duties and ensuring our high standards of patient care are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Nursing with management responsibilities while ensuring the quality of care for residents.
- Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds to monitor and address patient needs.
- Facilitate compliance and promote effective communication among all nursing staff.
- Meet the nursing and medical needs of all residents with compassion and professionalism.
- Be available for on-call duties 24 hours a day.
- Coordinate and oversee comprehensive nursing service planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of general nursing theory and best practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Manage daily staffing processes effectively.
- Oversee infection control practices in alignment with best standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule to address unforeseen needs.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a current State RN license.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings is required.
- Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of management experience.
- 1 year of staff education experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory skills are necessary.
- Flexibility in working hours is required.
