Job Description
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of commercial, education, industrial, health care, and public works/municipal projects
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate pricing
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during preconstruction
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
  • Manage and grow a high-performing estimating and preconstruction team
  • Evaluate project risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making
  • Assist in bid strategy development and presentation to clients
  • Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • +/- 7-15 years of estimating experience
  • General Contracting background
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Strong subcontractor network in the local market
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
