AMI is seeking a full time Receptionist to join the team This position will provide coverage in the Somers Point office as well as AMI's mobile Mammography Van. This is a great opportunity to participate in community outreach, earn your CDL, and engage with patients in and out of the office

The selected individual will provide Receptionist coverage and drive the AMI Foundation Mammography Van. AMI will cover the cost of the CDL for the selected candidate.

The Receptionist is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Greeting patients and visitors promptly upon arrival, courteously, compassionately and professionally;
  • Answering incoming telephone calls, makes satisfactory disposition of the calls or transfers to appropriate party;
  • Maintaining surveillance of all patients and visitors in the waiting area;
  • Scheduling appointments, obtaining necessary information to input computer data;
  • Performing clerical functions necessary to process and maintain all records associated with the Practice, ensuring accuracy and completeness;
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for work assignments ensuring that they are completed efficiently, effectively, accurately and timely as per policy and procedure;
  • At all times, maintains focus on the needs of the patient and provides high quality care and service; and
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.


This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in the Somers Point office location and will also provide coverage in the AMI Mammography Van and be responsible for operating the vehicle.

The work schedule includes Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be willing to obtain a NJ CDL, with air brake endorsement, and operate the Mammography Van if selected. Current CDL license a plus

Intermediate computer skills are required. Must demonstrate excellent customer service practices and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Previous experience in a medical office or hospital is preferred. Candidates must have the flexibility to work varying shifts and travel to different areas.
