Responsibilities:

What You'll Do: At Oracle Analytics, we are developing the next wave of enterprise AI products that facilitate intelligent data analysis on a large scale. Leveraging our expertise in data management and enterprise software, we are evolving our platforms by integrating Agentic AI, generative AI, and advanced machine learning methodologies.

As an Applied Scientist Intern, you will participate in research and prototyping efforts involving both structured and unstructured data, focusing on AI Agents, LLM alignment, retrieval techniques, and inference scaling. Your contributions will be vital in creating enterprise-grade AI agents driven by reasoning-focused LLMs, enhancing Oracle's analytics and data platforms.

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, or a related field during the 2025-2026 academic year and will return to the program following the internship.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable AI/ML systems in real-world environments.
  • Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI, emphasizing LLMs and reasoning models.
  • Hands-on experience with structured data systems (SQL, analytics engines) and unstructured data (documents, text corpora).
  • Familiarity with LLM frameworks and agentic tools such as LangChain, VectorStores, retrievers, hybrid retrieval, GraphRAG, LLMOps, and fine-tuning techniques.
  • Solid research background with a publication record in top-tier venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICLR, NAACL, etc.
  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.
