Senior IT Business Analyst, Perm Role, Cleveland, OH

The Senior IT Business Analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. This role understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This position interprets and transforms information based on business requirements and provides the data for delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

Strategy & Planning
• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements from clients and business users.
• nalyze, document, and improve workflows, processes, and standards.
• Understand the business processes, and how the application supports the business processes, and apply this knowledge to best solve problems.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements/enhancements.
• ssist supporting the team as an interface between business and technology teams.

Acquisition & Deployment
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
• Employ knowledge of the OneStream Suite of applications to facilitate better deployment of application security, change requests and other interface tools.
• Provide training and documentation for supported applications.
• Execute demos of working solutions to stakeholders.
• Utilize existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.
• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution within the group.

Operational Management
• Provide application expertise as a project resource.
• ssist users with problems and resolves issues independently.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Develop solutions to leverage employee's experience and suggest process improvements.
• Train and mentor other Business Analysts as assigned.

Incidental Functions
• Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
• Research or prototype new tools and/or technologies.
• ssist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the teamwork.
• Lead internal teams/task forces on initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
• Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business).

Knowledge & Experience
• 5+ years IT and/or Business experience.
• 5+ years working with internal clients and/or external agencies/partners.
• Experience with Hyperion, Essbase or OneStream solutions required
• Well versed in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of various essential business functions of an organization.
• Strong technical knowledge coupled with business intelligence and ability to understand customer's needs.
• Financial systems experience required.
• Financial system implementation experience and process/functional knowledge preferred
