Job Title: Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant maintains financial records, prepares reports, and analyzes data to support accurate accounting and strategic decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies while assisting with audits, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The Position: Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and accounting software (Sage and ADP preferred)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills

Responsibilities:

  • Monday - Friday 8am-4pm 
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts; resolve discrepancies
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closings and reporting
  • Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Support budgeting process and design ad hoc management reports
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
  • Verify Medicare and Medicaid eligibility and reconcile related accounts
  • Process participant refunds and handle vendor payment issues
  • Monitor accounts receivable and reconcile balance sheet items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
