IT Help Desk Specialist

Location: Park City, Utah
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Help Desk Specialist to join our San Diego Shared Services Center (SSC). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, is curious about technology, and wants to grow their career in IT-whether you are transitioning from a customer service role or already working in a help desk environment and looking for broader exposure.

You will be a key point of contact for team members across the organization, providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and learning hands-on how a modern, multi-platform technology environment operates.

What You'll Do
  • Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, user accounts, and basic network connectivity
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including equipment setup and access provisioning
  • Support common workplace technologies such as laptops, mobile devices, printers, and collaboration tools
  • Document issues, solutions, and procedures to help improve support processes
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT team members when appropriate
  • Deliver a positive, professional support experience with a strong customer-service mindset
What We're Looking For

Required or Strongly Preferred:
  • Customer service, help desk, or technical support experience
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others
  • Comfort working with computers and common workplace technology
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have (But Not Required):
  • Previous IT help desk or desktop support experience
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, or identity management tools
  • Basic understanding of networking or IT concepts
