Title: Maintenance Mechanic (2nd shift)
Location: South Holland, IL
Hire Type: Direct-hire, Onsite
Shift: 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00/hour
Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: Bonus potential offered

Overview:
Support plant operations by identifying issues, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on production machinery, facility systems, and building infrastructure. Work may involve HVAC units, boiler systems, compressed air equipment, ammonia-based refrigeration, mixers, and various processing and packaging machines.

Job Duties:
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on plant equipment to keep systems running smoothly.
• Carry out scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
• Perform all work with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Minimize equipment downtime by completing repairs and component replacements promptly.
• Machine or fabricate parts as needed to meet repair or modification specifications.
• Share maintenance-related guidance with production teams; address questions and support routine troubleshooting practices.
• Stay current on technical skills through ongoing training and certification updates.
• Keep work areas organized and compliant with safety policies and plant standards.
• Support overall department needs by assisting with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a similar environment.
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drive systems, VFDs, and PLCs.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Possession of a valid state driver's license.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekend shifts when operational needs require.
